The
music
Banana Joker began his career with "Emisfero
Boreale" playing and composing the typical jazz-rock of the
seventies with a particular regard and view to the Canterbury Rock
of Gong, Caravan, Hatfield and the North, etc……
Then he worked with "Emisfero Boreale" on the symphonic and electronic
rock to wink at artist as Mike Oldfield, Enigma and Jean Michelle
Jarre.
As soloist he oriented himself to world music, new
age and movies soundtracks and in this last period to the chill-out
music.
In his long career he searched and developed a real
personal way to do his music and he succeeded in creating a really
personal style that is really appreciated especially by others musicians,
artists and critics.
At the same time he developed a simple but very particular technique
to play 12 strings acoustic guitar.
In the last years he also composed pop music and songs for several
artists in Italy and in Australia.
He is now oriented to electronic and orchestral compositions
characterised by personal and atypical atmospheres.
Discreet and shy he has always preferred to work
with some friends and artists in studio and in the backstage. Notherword
he did a lot of live concerts with "Emisfero Boreale". His friends
are all great artists with different music experiences among them
we can find William Marino, Claudio Parente, Chus Fernandez and
others.
He is a person of great sensibility and his music
is telling us about his looking at children conditions and social
world problems; the song "Un Diamante è per sempre" (from the CD
"2001") it is a real exemple of his feelings about problems caused
by the war in Angola. He has been following the English self producing
and self organising of "The Enid" and the "Stand" for years: both
are considered by Banana Joker the good example to refer when you
want to self produce andf to produce new young artists. |
